• Upkeep

The Brittany is generally a hardy dog that requires little maintenance. Its
major requirement is for abundant, regular exercise and for this reason, it is
not suited to apartment life. It can live outdoors in temperate weather, but is
a social dog that needs human interaction. Its coat is not particularly thick or
long, but it does require a regular brush to maintain good health.

The French breed club’s motto sums up the Brittany very well:

Un maximum de qualites por un volume minimum” – translated means,

“A maximum quality in the minimum volume”.
